Position: Quality Assurance Tester

Perth, Western Australia

Interzone Pty Ltd., a MMO publisher with core development studios in Perth, is looking for a Quality Assurance Tester to join our growing, dynamic team. In this important role, you will be reporting directly to the QA Manager, you will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs in the game, creating and maintaining test plans, and working closely with the development team to ensure our product meets our high quality standards.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, well organized, with excellent technical skills, able to work in a team, and thrives in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Finding and investigating bugs
  • Management of bugs in our bug tracking software
  • Creating and refining test plans based on design specs
  • Organising, directing and supporting QA in other studios
  • Helping to improve our process and integrate quality at all levels of development
  • Other tasks supporting the role of QA within our company

Essentials:

  • 6 months+ QA experience on at least one shipped title
  • Understanding of the role of QA and quality-driven nature
  • Knowledge and ability to write efficient, full coverage test plans
  • Excellent written communication
  • Thorough, methodical and organised
  • Attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of the development cycle
  • Familiarity of MS Office suite and similar products
  • Basic understanding of PC hardware and software
  • Passion for games

Desirable:

  • MMO experience working for a developer
  • Knowledge of Test Track Pro bug tracking software

Other:

  • Due to the nature of games development, you may be expected to work additional hours as required by the QA Manager.
